Hoping to move to Saint John - what is the most family friendly community?

I am hoping to move to Saint John soon with my 5yo daughter. What areas are the safest/family friendly?

I like the Hampton area, is that a safe good town?

What are the hospitals like? In Nova Scotia you have to wait 2 weeks for bloodwork, is it the same there? How long of a wait is it to get a family doctor?
