Payments suspended

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST: Turns out it was a CDR that I hadn't filled out. I have been having problems with my neighbors and I had suspicions they were stealing my mail. Turns out it looks like they are since I never personally got my hands on any mail from Social Security. Anyways, thats beside the point. I went into my local SS office today, very nice staff there. The lady had me fill out the CDR and she made a note to have my benefits un-suspended. Of course they will still review the CDR but for the time being all is well. Greatly appreciate the replies and advice I was given.

Original Post: I have been receiving payments since 2010 due to a horrible accident that left me partially blind and partially paralyzed. I received notification in July of 2024 that my benefits were being stopped. I panicked a bit but it is what it is. I continued receiving the checks and it October I calledy local office and asked why I was still getting checks. They look at my account and she said they're supposed to stop according to some note or something in my account. She also said don't spend the ss checks, which I wasn't.

I received two more checks for October and November so I called my local office again on December 6th to see why I was still getting checks. She looked at my account again and said the note that she saw before was gone and she could find no reason that my benefits would be suspended. I asked her repeatedly if there was any reason my benefits would be stopped and she said no, that this whole thing must have been a mistake and they fixed it. Another question she asked me is if I received a direct message to my account regarding the COLA increase for 2025. I checked and I indeed did receive that notice. I also got one in the mail. She said if I received that then surely there is not reason to worry about my benefits. I was of course relieved.

On Friday, the 3rd, I got a notification saying I had received a message on the SS website. I went to check it and in the area that says the check amount and pay dates, it says 'Suspended'. Now I am slightly panicking again.

Finally to my question, has this happen to anyone else? Why would my benefits be suspended when the office assured me barely a month ago that my benefits were fine and not to worry.

If you got this far, thank you for reading. I totally plan on calling tomorrow. I am honestly not angry, just worried. I am not going to call the office angry either. I just want to know what is going on and how how I need to proceed.
