iPad WiFi issues again
We are currently facing an issue at multiple sites where our iPads randomly say no internet connection in settings while connected to the Wi-Fi, and they are pulling a proper IP address when in this state. I have run Packet Captures when the drops occurred and see the cause is disconnection due to lack of activity. I also see the same error on our Ruckus Dashboard on the client. The iPads continue to pull a no internet connection error until the Wi-Fi is toggled on and off in settings, or the device is restarted. I should also mention that it is very sporadic and does happen across multiple sites. We have tried going as far as removing our iPads from MDM and cannot reproduce the issue at home, or even at our office, which is located on a different site. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated as many of our teachers are not able to airplay when this occurs. Mostly happens on 9th gen iPads...
This started last year and we deployed WEP for iPads as we heard that worked, it seemed to work lovely, besides the insecurities of WEP. It seemed to stop at the end of last school year, and we disabled the WEP network. Week 3 of school and we’re full blown back to the issues. Apple is absolutely no help, points fingers, and our MSP has no idea, and neither does ruckus. SSH proves the iPads are still connected to the AP, just will not communicate on the LAN or WAN. I am at an absolute loss at this point, and we are second guessing the purchase of iPads and it is affecting our use. The devices cannot even ping the AP or gateway when they lose connection. Is anyone else having any similar issues? Any ideas would be awesome, and if anyone else is having issues like this, please share!
