Ruckus overheating

Hello, I just purchased a 2019 Honda Ruckus from a friend. Within 30 minutes of my first ride a bright red light with the thermometer popped up. & the speed of my bike slowly went down until it stopped. All parts of the bike were checked except the cooling of the engine. Would it be worthwhile to try changing the coolant? & does it matter what coolant type I use?
