To seed or not to seed

I have been thinking about this lately as I read through my list of alien/monster, and hockey romance list. In alien/monster romance, I find male ejaculate being called seed and I am completely fine with it, in fact prefer it. But every once in a while I see it sneak over to contemporary romance and am I the only one bothered by this?

I feel like I would never catch a 21st century man calling their cum/sperm/jizz "seed" unless they are secretly a 500 year old vampire. And while I would find it funny to read a crossover vampire/hockey book, the ones I have been reading did not confess to being 2000 year old Vlads. Their big dicks and stamina was only the result of romance book magic and not being undead with rigor mortis only set to their peens.

What is your opinion? Would you be fine sperm being called "seed" in CR?
