Update causing reboot loop?
Hey y'all.
I have a TCL Roku TV from about 5 years ago and haven't had any issues with it until last night. About 10 minutes into using it, it froze, went black, and then stayed in a reboot loop between the Roku/TCL logo and a black screen until Recovery Mode pops up. I've tried updating via wifi and ethernet, I've tried power cycling (including leaving unplugged overnight), and tried the reset button by the HDMI ports. Nothing has worked.
I even did the USB Stick Manual Update and got an error that the update file is for a past software version and downgrades are not allowed.
The Roku support forums seem to have a number of people with the same issue. Am I just getting confirmation bias here or is there an issue going on with a recent update that is bricking TVs?
