t-junction not closing
i’m at 6WPO today and my t-junction has been open since 3WPO. let me just say that my doctor has pretty old fashioned techniques and i know they’re probably not the most effective but i’ve been following them bc he’s my surgeon.
anyways, i’ve been doing wet-to-dry dressings on this wound for 3 weeks now. i have a facetime appointment with him tomorrow (bc i moved right after this spot opened up. so convenient😐) and so i know he’s gonna say it looks fine and to just be patient bc that’s what he’s said the last few times i facetimed him.
i’m thinking about just trying something to help this process along. i’m gonna bring it up to him but i don’t think he’ll be receptive. i wanna use medihoney since i’ve heard many good things about it. i rly hate doing these dressings twice a day, it’s time consuming and the wound area has started to become pretty sore whenever i move around. even if he doesn’t approve it, i’m thinking of just trying a little around my wound. i don’t rly think it could hurt, you know? but maybe i should just be patient and keep doing those dressings, i don’t know.
would love some of your opinions. this spot has been stressing me out nonstop for 3 weeks now and moving to a new city and starting a new job has been stressful enough. if i can get this to close it would be a huge weight off my shoulders. some pics attached for you to see my non-progress (last two were taking this morning and tonight).
i don’t have any wound clinics near me, i’ve checked. i don’t have a car here and i’d only be willing to trek out for that if it was absolutely necessary. if any of y’all have had experiences with wet-to-dry dressings specifically i’d love to know how long it took for your wounds to heal. same with medihoney!
