I can finally rest
It's been well over two months now, and even though it might not seem like much it has felt like a battle of blood and tears in my mind. I've passed though post after post to finally find what worked the best, and at that point it was just rinse and repeat until I got lucky.
Most people are proud, and filled with happiness, for completing such large achievements. Even though I'm happy I feel like a filthy animal. Repost after repost, altering images, putting peoples identities over others work, taking something that isn't mine and not even giving credit in most cases. I wanted this to be an OC, but I have to realize that there's no way I'm getting peak post off an OC.
Below I'll list the two most effective strategies I've used to get this achievement. I don't know if this is smart, or if I should do this at all, but at this point my mind is just saying "screw it, share it all".
In the very beginning I started with something I've been doing for years, posting from Twitter to Reddit. There's two Twitter accounts I've found that goes by the names of @ interesting_ail & @ fckitsinterest, who both post content that's relevant for r/Damnthatsinteresting, (I'm excluding r/interestingasfuck due to the ban situation). What I've done is screen recorded their video, cropped it, and posted it to r/Damnthatsinteresting, crediting the poster. This worked just fine but didn't get anywhere close to 100k, and it seemed to die out after a while, with the top post getting around 45k upvotes. In this situation it's possible to find other twitter accounts to do this as well. I'd say those who post tweets about other tweets would work well, as reddit loves upvoting pictures of tweets for some reason. The reason I didn't really want to share this is that if too many people use it the accounts I've mentioned they won't have enough posts. So I encourage you to look for your own accounts.
The second strategy, and by far the worst, is the one I used to get Peak Post.
