Having trouble reading arc 5”[spoiler discussion]”

To give context, I’ve read the novels all the way up to arc 8, however I skipped arc 5 because arc 6 was vastly more interesting to me conceptually when I first started reading the series.

This was around the time arc 7 was dropping, so I never bothered to read arc 5.

Now that the new season is coming out, I decided to appease my boredom by reading arc 5 and wow is it just me or is it difficult to picture or clearly understand scenes he is outlining?

Is it the translation or just the writing style or is it my reading comprehension skills?
