[spoiler discussion] Is Subaru worthy of Emilia's love? too much text !rant!.

I am creating this post because of another post I made recently in which I touched on this topic and sparked a lot of controversy.

Of course, each person has a different point of view, so please consider this first before trying to disrespect adverse opinions.

I also don't know what is the average age of the users in this community is, but in my case I am already a few years old much older than someone in their teens or even a little older. So, that's why I think I'm a little more aware of how reality works differently than a romanticized idea.

But getting to the point, is Subaru worthy of Emilia's love from a rational point of view?

Well this is what I believe.

We as humans we are intelligent beings, however, in our essence we are intuitive beings much more than we believe, just like animals.

An instinctive feeling is sexual attraction/love which is necessary to guarantee our species. One thing that goes hand in hand with this is that we are attracted to the best examples of our species, the same as saying beautiful people, you and me and everyone, it is in their DNA to fall in love more easily with someone beautiful than another that it looks ugly to you.

Following this instinct, that is why when Subaru arrived in the new world, and met Emilia, he was captivated by her beauty, so much that he decided to pursue her and help her, since he was too captivated by her.

This was practically as if you knew a celebrity, Emilia would be something similar in her world, even though she is also hated because she looks like the witch. But as I said, she is someone important, since she is also a candidate for queen.

But returning to our world, anyone can fall in love with the beauty of a celebrity, for example, Emma Watson. However, the interesting part is who is worthy of being reciprocated by those types of people.

Well, if you wanted to get the love of Enma Watson for example, you can't be an average person, at least you have to be in the same world as someone like that, this mean, you need to be someone extremely successful and with a lot of money, and then everything else will be something secondary.

This human condition must also be present in any story that wants to be credible, no matter if it is fantasy, even in comedy. And generally, that is the idea that usually exists in any story. For this reason, the classic books of Disney princesses, work in this way, where beautiful princesses only tend to fall in love with another beautiful princes who are handsome, tall, intelligent and skilled.

I know it was long, but I had to establish that context, to ask if Subaru could be someone worthy of Emilia's love.

Well, in a fictional world, I think that the counterpart of a rich and successful person of our world, must be people who are powerful, since power and magic are the most important thing in these fictional stories. That's why in average isekais, authors usually establish magically powerful protagonists, to justify that those protagonists get a harem of the most beautiful girls in the development of the adventure. You may like those stories more or less, but that development is logical.

But unlike those average isekais, Re zero and its protagonist, is very different by establishing a protagonist who is not powerful and does not achieve it in the development of the story.

So in that sense, our protagonist is not someone with the power, to be someone that any girl would fall in love with in a fantasy world.

In short, Subaru would be like an average person who fell in love with a celebrity. You remember right?, when I said, that you can fall in love with Enma Watson, but unless you are someone important as her, you will never receive love from her.

Many here will say that contrary to this, Subaru helped Emilia many times, helping to save her life, helping the people of Emilia's village, and several other things.

Here is clearly the resource that the author wants to use to justify that Emilia can fall in love with Subaru. But these things Subaru never achieves with his own power, it is only through the collaboration of other characters who do the work.

Just as with this, other things that try to justify Emilia falling in love with Subaru do not turn out to be satisfactory, such as when Subaru gives a speech to Emilia to motivate her in some parts of the story. Some may be convinced by this, but my friend, try to make this with the girl that you like, if that girl is a 10 and you are a 6, I assure that this never will work.

But I won't elaborate any further, my opinion is that Subaru is not a protagonist who is logical to achieve Emilia's love from a rational perspective, more logical will be Reinhard or Julius.

Even the Bible says it, do not be unequally yoked. Corinthians 6:14 .
