When middle class people go on vacation the hotel is usually nicer than their own house. When wealthy people go on vacation the hotel is usually crappier than their house.

Kind of funny to think about. If you live in a big luxury mansion type house and then go to a hotel (even a fancy one) it must feel like a downgrade to being at home in a sense. Whereas with middle class people the hotel would feel a lot nicer and enjoyable to be at relative to their home.

Obviously vacations are far more than the hotel room (that you may or may not spend much time in) but still kind of funny to think about.
