redpilling my mom on the handmaid's tale

This went poorly. OK, I'll explain. I'm with family over the holidays and I'm talking with my lib brain mom about that god awful Handmaid's Tale TV show that she loves for some reason. I try to explain to her how it comes off as masturbatory material for feminists that guiltily harbor breeding kinks and she glared at me, giving me this intense look of disdain and disgust like I just cooked and ate her dog or something. I think she's mad at me. How should I deal with this book-related situation?
