What’s up with Dutch??

Hi, so im just picking up this game for the first time ever and I’ve usually avoided this sub for spoilers. I heard about it from a friend and decided to play it, and I’m having a great time! But I’m kind of confused and had a question I didn’t want to google in case of spoilers

Why is Dutch acting like this to me?? For context I’m on chapter 5 having just finished up chapter 4. At first he was mostly normal, sometimes a little pushy on donating money which i admittedly almost never do, even said something when i took my shirt off in chapter one and forgot how to put it back on (lmao) But now he’s being really mean I feel like? on our way to Lagras he kinda flipped out at me like I did something wrong and even Arthur didn’t know what he did. Is this something that just happens? Can i fix it? I know sometimes npcs will stay hostile if you’ve been hostile to them before but I don’t know what I did to Dutch

Now we’re on the island and he just killed some random old lady?? She didn’t even do anything and now I’m kind of scared he might be setting up John as the rat for some reason? He keeps saying stuff about how John can’t be trusted and I’m thinking he let John get arrested because he doesn’t like him or maybe he ratted on us and John knew?? I don’t know why he’d do that though but right now I can’t really trust him. I have a theory Dutch might be betraying the gang but he’s always saying stuff like “i’ll do anything to make sure this gang survives’ so maybe not?

Also is John even alive? I can’t really trust Dutch’s word on this.

Also I’m kind of worried because Arthur keeps coughing LOL. Am I supposed to drink medicine? Can you get sick in this game? I must have missed the hint in the corner or something bc idk he doesnt really cough in cutscenes and nobody comments on it like it’s not part of the story so I was wondering if he’s just sick and this is something I need to cure?
