Over 260lbs but hopefull this could work
So I’m on a weight loss journey to prepare my body for pregnancy in a few years. After trying for over a year and my doctor saying it’s just my BMI because nothing was wrong I’ve decided to really stick to getting in shape and feeling my best. My friend consciences me to try Barre and I just did my Engage intro class. I thought I was going to pass out I hurt so much and the shakes were crazy. Keep in mind I live a completely sedentary life and have almost no endurance. Even though it was really hard for me, I really enjoyed the positive atmosphere and I walked away proud I stuck it out the whole 30 mins (some of the others actually dropped mid class lol). My question is are there any fellow lazy/in active girlies who started from 0 exercise and got into pure barre? Especially if you are plus size and can send any encouragement about how many classes it took to get your endurance and not feel like you were going to die. What did your intro to class look like? 1 class a week, 2 a week? How did you pace yourself but also get through the initial pain and fear of not being able to do the workouts? Is this the right move or should I come back to it when I’m more in shape from less intense exercise?
