What has helped you keep from scratching after skin biopsy? Prescribed Halobetasol, but it's out of stock for now.

There's a possibility that I have psoriasis on both elbows that popped up about two months ago. I started developing pretty bad joint pains along the way too and my body ended up going haywire last month after the itchy patches showed up, it was the most pain I've ever felt, so my PCP thought it was time to see a dermatologist and a proper rheumatologist, I've just been seeing a PA-C in a rheumatology office for a year and a half and being told I just had fibromyalgia, she even dismissed my skin problems and arthritis that was found.

I went to the dermatology office yesterday and the PA there wanted to do a biopsy right away, even though she was leaning toward psoriasis by just looking at it. Cool, they did two punches on the same side, which wasn't fun, but not bad.

It's now itching so badly and I don't know what to do! They prescribed me Halobetasol to help clear up my elbows, but my pharmacy said it was out of stock and they'd have to order it. I don't know what to do in the meantime, I don't want to scratch it since it has holes in it. What does someone do in this situation?
