Orphaned Disk
So i added a new SSD into my server, shutdown my VM and clicked Move disk on the data disk of the VM to the new SSD. For unknown reason PVE crashed mid move. Rebooted.
The VM is using the "old" disk as the process didnt finish but i cannot delete the new disk on the new SSD because the VM exists.
Moved the disk again, it copied fine and has now repointed the VM hardware at the new disk, however i still have the old disk on the new SSD i.e. orphaned that i cannot remove because the VM exists.
What's the best way to reclaim this space?
- vm-221-disk-0 is the failed move copy - Want to Delete this
- vm-221-disk-1 is the completed move copy that is now mounted to my VM
