Booked our first cruise with Princess

I'm honestly starting to wonder if I made a mistake.

We recently booked our first cruise with Princess on Star for Alaska 2026. We have sailed with Royal and are Platinum with Carnival. We are wanting to try other lines. We've always heard Princess is best for Alaska but I feel like everything I read on here is one negative experience after another or others saying HAL is better. Is it really as bad as others are making it out to be? The website is already frustrating us! Is there anything we should know or be aware of like prices going up and down and having to call to get a better deal on excursions or the cruise after booking? One thing that currently has us worried is our room being moved as we really like the location of ours. Any tips/tricks or need to knows welcome.
