Concept: Good and Bad Ending
So in light of all the "holy shit you can enter Painter's room now" posts, ive decided that i wanna share my probably really shitty concepts for a good and bad ending for pressure, since in my eyes, the current ending is more neutral than anything.
For the easy one, aka the bad ending, I imagine would go sort of like at the start, interacting with the navi AI panel at the start would basically be the start, giving you a guarantee chance to encounter Painter's room during the run (any more interactions still get you killed tho lol). Once you reach Painter (before Sebastian's shop, you'll see why later :)) you can basically destroy him, which means no trick rooms, no turrets, no gauntlets, but thats where some things change. You no longer can access Sebastian's shop, the vent is just closed. Eyefestation is enraged permanently (to make up for the lack of trick doors and turrets) and theres more land mines and door mines. Toward the end of the Ridge, instead of having to deal with the Searchlights, your path takes you to a large warehouse room, and basically the original Pressure ending concept takes place, where you have to fight Sebastian, who's reasonably furious that you murdered his only friend, where you either die, or defeat Sebastian, getting the choice to let him bleed out, or end his suffering quickly.
Now for the good ending its more spotty since it relies on a lot of "what ifs," now this can follow similar to the bad ending path where its activated by talking to navi ai at the start, but instead, and this can be found if you plan a bad ending run, a device that allows you to transfer Painter into basically a hand held device, so instead of destroying him, you basically take him with you. Now, because Painter is disconnected from the security system, but you also went against Navi, you'll be dealing with increased trick doors and turrets, but no gauntlets. Once you reach Sebastian I imagine a sort of cut scene will play of the character and tablet Painter making a plan of escape, and you get discounted shop items, run goes on, and once you get the crystal, instead of entering the Ridge, you enter a sort of Seek-like chase where you run down a series of rooms, dodging obstacles (very high stakes, and Painter helps you throughout), and as the ending boss battle, your fighting Navi AI. At the end if the fight, it would basically be a kind of a weakened AI basically cursing you before Sebastian pulls up and finishes them off for you. Now how they'd actually escape, im unsure, but for sake of simplicity and my sleep schedule, let's just say destroying navi basically means Urbanshade loses all contact with the submarine they sent for you, allowing you, Painter and Sebastian to steal it, and possibly meet up with some of those vaguely mentioned rival organizations.
I would appreciate feedback on this
