Older 911 or M2(F87) as a daily?

Some background: I live in New England, drive 12k miles a year. Currently I have a 2013 328i BMW(rwd) that I daily year round. I also take it to autox a few times a year.

In a year or so I will not be on daycare duty so I can get a 2 door car. The question is if I got an early 2010s 911 would it be an awful decision, how much maintenance costs can I expect to pay compared to a BMW. A M2 seems like a more practical choice but the 911 is probably a much better driver's car. I looked up the weight and the 911 is like 500lbs lighter, I am not super concerned about stright line acceleration, but more about driving engagement, feel, the tactile things like steering, shifter, clutch.
