spigot still leaks with new anti-siphon/vacuum breaker
posted earlier, but new development. used the spigot with hose attached for the first time in a while yesterday (sun and near 60). it has gotten cold enough to freeze already this winter, but research suggested that the leaking I observed was just due to a worn out anti-siphon valve/vacuum breaker. no apparent leaking inside.
I picked up a replacement vacuum breaker from home depot and installed it, but the spigot still spits water out of that top cap area - albeit less than before. the spigot spits whether the nozzle at the far end is spraying or not. doesn't appear to be any leaking inside. I hand tightened the vacuum breaker following advice from professor YouTube, since the plunger/housing assembly is all plastic. maybe wrenching a bit would stop it? I'm just wary of breaking things...
