Is the Plex experimental player able to direct play?

I have recently switched to infuse to be able to direct play files from my Plex server located remotely on my Apple TV 4K. Infuse seems to be really slow (like 30 seconds for results) to search for stuff, but when it starts, its perfect direct play with subtitles... Plex app on my Apple TV is much faster, but obviously can’t direct play. I wouldn’t mind paying for a Plex pass, but only if it will direct play everything I throw at it.
