Using a Raspberry Pi as a headless media server / new router question

I've only been using Plex for a month or so and finally cutting the cord and saving $200/month. Not only that, but my internet-only service from Verizon will triple from 100Mbps to 300Mbps. The only concern is they will be replacing the router next week. I'm using an HDHomeRun Quatro for OTA programming and concerned about the communication between them and the new router. I did setup the Raspberry Pi with a static IP address and hoping to replicate the current router's name and password, but concerned that I may run into connectivity issues. Anyone been through this and have any advice?
