Too short philtrum for a lip-lift, alternatives?

Tldr: I have a nonexistent upper lip, therefore fillers aren’t enough to help me achieve the results I wish. I’m also not a suitable candidate for a lip lift. What are my other options? Would a V-Y lip lift work in me?

I’m devastated as I just traveled all the way to the UK for a consultation, with the expectation of setting a date for the actual surgery, only to be told that I am not a suitable candidate for a lip lift because my philtrum is too short. I’m really upset because I’ve been wanting to get one for years, and it’s one of my only options. (No hate to the surgeon, glad he was honest).

The surgeon said my philtrum appeared longer in the pictures I sent before the consultation than it was in reality. He measured it to be about 11,5 mm.

As you can see in the pictures, my lip curls downward and is very thin and straight. My goal was a round, bigger upper lip, which I can’t achieve with just fillers. He said I have a lot of lip room, it just doesn’t show because my lip is tucked in on itself. The only problem is that the distance between my lip and nose is too small, so theres no room to remove any skin.

I’ve already had a rhinoplasty, so having a revision to shorten the nose would be risky, but I would honestly be willing to do so because I want a lip-lift so bad. The surgeon I spoke to advised against that though.

What are the other options? I’m thinking of doing a V-Y lip lift, but the results are usually pretty minimal from what I’ve seen. Do you guys think another surgeon would be able to do a regular lip-lift on me?
