Vi’s crash to her lowest was not solely Caitlyn’s FAULT

I just wanted to share my thoughts on Vi’s self-destructive outcome. She didn’t hit rock bottom simply because Caitlyn broke up with her; she reached her lowest because she lost the only person she had left in her life.

Vi has absolutely no one. Her father and mother are dead, her adoptive father is gone, her sister (Powder) is gone, and both of her brothers, Mylo and Claggor, are gone too. That amount of loss would drive anyone to the edge.

Vi stayed strong for as long as humanly possible, but losing Caitlyn—the last person she had—pushed her over the edge. Vi is someone who needs to have someone to protect. It’s part of her identity. Without that, she loses herself.

Yes, Caitlyn leaving was gut-wrenching, but it was just the tip of the trauma Vi has endured. When she has no one to protect, she’s left alone with her thoughts, forced to confront the pain and loss in her life.

Honestly, if Vi still had Powder or Jinx when Caitlyn left, she would have been upset, but she likely wouldn’t have fallen so far. She hit her lowest because she not only thought she had lost Powder but also, during the fight, realized her sister wasn’t entirely gone—only to lose her again. Caitlyn was willing to fight her, and Vi wasn’t willing to kill her.

On top of that, Vi can’t even walk freely through the streets of Zaun anymore, as she’s seen as an enforcer. She’s truly lost everything.
