Why Ren & Ryuji didn’t speak to Ann about Kamoshida?

I’m sure this has been asked many times but after playing the game twice it makes you wonder when Ren & Ryuji didn’t consider asking Ann if she knew any dirt on Kamoshida. Maybe Shiho could’ve been saved from s*icide attempt but it’s hard to tell how story would have progressed.
