one week later - gum graft pain still off the charts

I have an incredibly high pain tolerance. I once broke my wrist in 3 places and did not flinch when the doctor pressed on each break, just thought it was badly bruised.

been one week since I had a gum graft and the pain is worse than ever. no complications or infection. The roof of my mouth now hurts so much. How is one supposed to manage this with only advil and excedrin. It's insane. Any tips?
