Invoker vs gemling stats stacking

I have recently changed my ice monk build from being a non crit build, to a stat stacking build with all the relevant uniques (except the big money amulet sadly)

At this point, is there a reason not to begin leveling a gemling? Alis that the superior stat stacking class? What advantages does the monk have?
