Massive Unplayable Lag Spikes And Network In-Stability Post Patch

Hi folks.

For the last 40 hours of gameplay I have been in a state of bliss, enjoying every moment and sweet interaction in this fantastic ARPG. New favourite, second only to diablo 2 (nostalgia). This was up until last night. Last night the game randomly crashed, following this crash it was installing an update. I let it do it's thing and then resumed playing. Post patch I noticed a huge degradation to my stability of the network connection. We are talking 8ms latency, 24 ping on the graph spiking to 400, then back to 10 then to 90, then to 16 then to 200 etc. Wildly inconsistent. This problem has only gotten worse and continued into today. It has made the game completely un-playable. To the point I physically have to shelve this game until it's remedied. This is hugely disappointing because I am already hopelessly addicted. I am asking the community if you have experienced the same things as I/have any fixes or news from GGG. This must be affecting other people and not just me. To qualify what I am saying and rule things out before you ask read below:

PC SPECS: 3080ti 12GB, 12700k @ 4.0 GHZ, 32GB 3600hz RAM, installed on an ssd m.2, windows 10, played at 1440p 120fps all settings high. (40 hours no issues till this patch)

Updated NVIDIA drivers.

Updated windows/pc/bios.

Tried wifi, ethernet, other computers on my network.
I have gigabit internet and speed tests show 930 Mbps down and 42Mbps upload, ping consistent depending on server location 20-40 ms, latency between 8ms-16ms depending.

Verified cache, reinstalled game, rolled back drivers, changed ports.

No other game is having an issue, downloads are fast and smooth, streaming videos/movies is not a problem, I have had a few friend intermittently experience this today as well but not as much as I have. I have also seen some in the community in game chat complaining. The bottom line here is this all was not the case prior to last night, and that little patch. I think it's on their end. I pray they fix this fast because it is going to kill the momentum for me hugely. I have limited time to game between work/gym/girlfriend and the odd days here when I have scheduled time/ability to play are being severely squandered by the connection issues.
