Star Items Not Working??

So, I’m trying to make Muunjin Bahari right now, and I have all the ingredients, except it says I don’t have Chappa Meat or Onions.

I have both of those, but they’re starred items. Do I have to use regular items for it to work? Or is it just the fact that the recipe requires “regular” meat and onions, but starred can be used as well?
