A Glimmer of Hope
I’m incredibly upset not just that we didn’t get Roki, but also that we haven’t done much at all this offseason, and the ownership issues, and Sheel bringing the lawsuit 2 weeks before the decision, and of course the Dodgers continuing to be insufferable, BUT with all that said I hate seeing all the doom.
Last season we had scraps but we were 1 inning away from winning the WS!
We had the second best season record in our history, and that’s with Tatis, Darvish, and Musgrove missing half the season. And Machado didn’t turn it in until the second half, and Arraez’s thumb injury in the second half.
We are a strong team with just the guys we have and I trust AJP to continue to make some good moves. Remember we didn’t have Caese or Arraez at this time last year
If our guys lock in this year, even just the ones we know we have now, we’re a playoff caliber team— if Bogaerts and Cronenworth wake up this season, we’re cooking, and if Merill gets any better ( he’s already amazing) we’ve got a season to look forward too
Losing Roki really really sucks and I hate that but he’s not the difference between us winning this WS
also last season the dodgers were incredibly stacked, and we won the season series against them, and again we were ONE (1) decent inning away from beating the Dodgers at the nlds and no one doubts we would have beaten the New Yorkers after that
Keep the faith guys, come on!
