Cannot create new Google Ads account - stuck in a redirect loop
I cannot create a new Google Ads account. If I go to the Google Ads sales homepage when signed in with my new Google account and select the 'Start now' button, it just redirects back to the homepage. If I select the 'Sign in' button, I am taken to a 2 option screen with one option 'New Google Ads account' and if I select that option, I am redirected back to the Google Ads sales homepage.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I have tried multiple browsers and computers and they all do the same. Tried through VPN and different countries in case it was a location thing (I'm UK based), but the same thing happens. I have spoken to 2 people on the Google hotline and they can't help me (they will apparently call me back).
Does anyone have a solution or workaround?
Edit: This is still a problem as of 26/05/23 with Google Workspace accounts. The workaround is to create a Google Ads account with a personal Gmail account new or old (which doesn't suffer from the redirect cycle) and then invite your user from Google Workspace and then make them owner/admin. Please read the comments below for further confirmation of this.
