HMI and PLC Connection Error After Changing PLC Model (S7-1214)
Hello everyone,
I’m facing an issue with my TIA Portal setup, and I’m hoping someone can help me resolve it. Here’s the situation:
I’m using a PLC S7-1214 DC/DC/DC and an HMI KTP400 Basic PN. Initially, I mistakenly configured a S7-1212. Here’s what I did:
- I added a new PLC (S7-1214) and copied the program from the S7-1212.
- I deleted the S7-1212 after transferring the program.
- I linked the S7-1214 to the HMI and tried to compile the project.
However, the HMI compilation fails with the following errors:
- Partly specified connection - Partner target system missing; Partner interface missing; Communications partner does not exist.
- The combination of the local end point and the partner end point is not supported by the HMI connections.
- The HMI connection is invalid. Start the software compilation for more information.
- Partner address Not Valid. Invalid address information.
I suspect the issue is related to the old S7-1212 configuration or an incorrect link between the HMI and the S7-1214.
How can I resolve these errors and establish a valid connection between the HMI and the S7-1214? Do I need to completely reconfigure the connection in TIA Portal, or is there a quicker solution?
Thanks in advance for your help!
