What is going on with COD players and Skill based match making?

Hello all, Ive been seeing a TON of complaints from cod players about skill based match making and how they hate it/want it gone

My questions is why? Every single online competitive game has skill based match making, its like one of the basic requirements to make a functional game.

My only thought it that its a bunch of low skilled bros who want to crush tons of little kids at the game so they dont have to try as hard.
