How would have "The Queen" be viewed as Best picture winner (2006)

The Queen was realesed on September 2th of 2006 at Venice film festival and international on 15th September of the same year at Uk and other countries. The film was produced by Pathen renn productions and canal+ and was distrubited by path distrubition international. The film was directed by Stephen frears and basically tells the story of queen Elizabeth during the controversy about Diana's death. The film received Widespread critical acclaim who most praised Helen mirren's performance as Queen Elizabeth II with her sweeping the entire year and was partially successful at the box office grossing 123m against a budget of 15m.

The Queen is a film outside of Mirren's performance, isn't that talked despite receiving critical praise at the time. I don't think it will be a exactly a bad win but probably very inferior to the departed that realesed the same year
