Thank you /r/OopsThatsDeadly
For a last couple of years, I've been enjoying the posts to the rest of the subreddit about tattoos with sepsis rashes and other skin infections, and kept it in the back of my mind if it ever happened to me.
3 days ago, I developed a cuticle infection that I applied neosporin on and continued to observe. It was swollen and a bit discolored. Today, I noticed a red rash starting to move up my finger, and on seeing that, immediately went to the urgent care.
The doctor prescribed antibiotics and hopefully I've caught it in time before having to head into the ER. Don't mess with Sepsis! I'd like to thank the posters for giving me the information to recognize and deal with a possible deadly situation before it escalated further!
