We've been friends since college. We are not from the same group of friends before but run in the same circles. We often went out to drink and bond over the same things or interests, and it was fun. After college, we went to the same law school and became close. We became each other's support system, and always remained study buddies.
After the bar exams, we drank and celebrated our freedom. He asked me if I wanted to fuck. π it started here. I laughed at him and said, ayoko nga masira pa friendship namin. But he said, no like FUBU setup. I told him I'd think about it because we're both single, and he's attractive naman. After a month or two, I told him na sige wala naman masama, and trying something out of the blue would be fun. I gave him a duplicate of my condo keys and told him just to come whenever he wanted to cum. π
It has been like that until he entered into a relationship with someone else. We stopped seeing each other as FUBUs but we remained friends. They were together for four years ata, and only broke up because of incompatibility issues. He still wants to explore life, and she already wants to create life. He still wants to have fun in the relationship, she already wants to settle down.

Around January 2023, one of our close friends invited us over drinks and wanted to announce her engagement to us personally. The two of us left the venue early to catch up over coffee. It was fun as if no time passed by, masaya and he was magaan kasama as ever. I asked him if he wanted to fuck, and he laughed. I told you he is attractive and I am still attracted to him. I told him na it depends kung sino. Sabi niya what if siya. I answered naman na pwede naman since we have the same interests, good chemistry, and are really good friends. He nodded. Parang wala lang kasi we always have conversations like this where he would tease me na jowain ko nalang daw siya tutal lagi naman daw siyang on-call for little errands like grocery. π
When we reached his car, he asked me to open the glove compartment, and I saw a tiny box and handed it to him. He opened it and told me that "Do you want to laugh and fuck for the rest of our lives?" He went on to say that I am his best friend, and even when we started in the middle, he was willing to begin again naman for me because he realized that he could lose everything but me. Putang ina. I didn't know what to do but I was crying. Parang at the back of my mind I have always wanted this. I said yes.
I'm happy I'm going to marry my best friend and FUBU lol. Still, we're laughing because we don't know how we'd tell everyone around us, especially since no one knows or, more accurately, everyone knows we're not in any relationship whatsoever. Bahala na. π€£
