How to assist with self-feeding skills as an SLP without infringing upon OT scope of practice?

I’m an SLP who works in an acute care university hospital setting. I do lots of dysphagia evaluation/therapy. I frequently wonder if there are ways I can support self-feeding skills with my patients without stepping on OT scope of practice. I just know rehab staff is spread thin at most hospitals and want to help as much as I can.

Edit: Thank you all! I figured it wasn’t my scope but thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. My hospital is in a rural state and severely understaffed, I will try to collaborate more with OT however know this isn’t always realistic at my hospital. Good positioning is a great tip & something I frequently look at already. Appreciate everyone’s insight— thank you OTs :)
