Norwegian gripes?
In English we have a saying that "the grass is always greener on the other side." I'm sure most of you get the idea or already know this phrase, but if you are unfamiliar with it, it means that things look better in places you are not at.
I think this happens a lot with people wanting to emigrate from their countries. They see the surface of things, the best pictures, the fun times, and here stories about how much better certain aspects of their lives would be. But they neglect the realism of living 100% of the time in an area they are unfamiliar with and that there maybe tradeoffs for those benefits they are staring at.
So my distant Norwegian friends, what are the harsher realities of Norway? What things about where you live drive you crazy? Do you deal with political corruption or extreme groups? Do you feel like your wages are subpar or that it can be hard to save for retirement? Is it a boring place to live outside of hiking/outdoors? Are supplies or parts for things hard to get or is shipping ridiculous?
What are things about your country or daily living that you would change?
Thanks for your time and input! I'm very curious to see what you deal with on a regular basis.
