Should I stop wearing beanies?

I 19F have got a lot of beanies and I love to wear them. I also have anxiety and I feel like my beanies keep me calm. However my parents say I should not wear them so much because it makes me look silly especially when I wear them in the summer. I like how they look but wanted to see what others think
