NixOS documentation and contributing to it

Hey, I have been using NixOS for a couple of months now and I keep hearing about the documentation being lacking. I do agree that it is not up to the snuff, but I was wondering what could we do to make it better?

I am interested in trying to contribute to the NixOS community, since I really love the project, but I am not sure where I could do so. I also want to ask some questions from the people that are using NixOS:

• Is there a specific place where people should focus their documentation efforts?
• If you could improve one part of the documentation, what would it be?
• What is the defacto place of Nix related information for you?
