Good Boots: A Foresters Most Used Tool
As a forester in north Idaho, most of my day to day activities consist of laying out harvest boundaries, cruising tracts of timber to determine if they are ready for harvest and overseeing active logging operations. It’s safe to say my job field can be pretty rough on boots given the steep and broken terrain of northern Idaho.
Over the past year of owning these Builder Pros, the scrapes, well-worn creases, and hard-earned patina have each become a chapter in their story. A story of hundreds of miles trekking through brush, mud and the most unforgiving terrain all the while never failing. While the boots will never have their fresh color and rough out texture again, I find myself feeling proud to put a boot on that has withheld everything I’ve thrown at it.
My boots have grown to become a depiction of myself and their environment, proving their resilience and ruggedness which stand as core values of Nick’s Handmade Boots.
