Real Talk: The YouTube Monetization Grind - Where You At?

Fellow creators,

I wanted to talk about something that probably drives most of us crazy - that pesky monetization threshold. 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of views that YouTube dangles in front of us like an oasis in the desert.

These figures live rent-free in my head. And let's face it, most of us are in the same boat:
I found some interesting facts, unfortunately frightening.

Reality Check:

  • Most channels take ETERNALLY (1-2 years) to reach that number of subscribers
  • Those viewing hours, on the other hand... that's a completely different story 😅
  • In reality, only 3% of channels manage to monetise.
  • And yes, a lot of people give up.
  • And for those who have won the Youtube Partner Program, how long have you waited to reach the first $100?

I'm curious to know where everyone stands with this :

  • Let us know your numbers if you're comfortable sharing them.
  • What's been harder to achieve - subscribers or watch hours?
  • How long have you been grinding?
  • Have you found any tricks that really work? (Please share your secrets 🙏)
  • Are you only posting on Youtube?

Let's mingle in the comments - sometimes it helps to know that we're not the only ones losing sleep over these numbers!

Cheers !
