No 30 Day Notice?!?!?

This is what I think happened… Julian approached RM and asked for a raise or ownership, gave them time to think about. They either countered lower than the ask or offered nothing at all and he (Julian) abruptly said I’m out, without notice. This caused resentment on both sides, which is the reason for the poor send-off. My question is this, even in the creative space, what’s up with the 2 week-30 day notice? This is standard in corporate America, but should this apply to podding? Thoughts?
