Every service worker is unbelievably rude in this country?
At clothing stores, supermarket, pubs, gym, post office. When calling bike repair or buying something from someone. They treat you like you’re a speaking-piece-of-shit made to bother them.
I’m an immigrant, here temporarily, but not a minority. Im white. I’m here for the past 3 weeks and I’m shocked to my core. Every Dutch service worker I’ve ever encountered treated me like shit. One exception was a lady who worked at the gym who was 45+. Just for another one, minutes later, in her 20s, to be insanely rude.
I’m not ugly. In fact on the opposite. I’m always extremely cordial. I do speak only English. Is this a language thing? This is changing me deeply. I’m thinking of starting to reset to being rude to service workers.
How can a society live like this?
