Curly cut horrible or am I just overreacting?

I had a curly cut back in October. I feel like since then my hair has been thinning at the ends and the curls don’t curl like they used to. I spent a good amount of money on the curly cut ($200+) hoping to get a better shape. I feel like my hair shape is worse, there are way too many layers, and some layers are just way too short . I’m just very upset overall. I know hair grows back but still. Am I over reacting about how my hair looks?
