Under discussed topic: People who would have children if they had somebody to have children with.

Humans need two people to reproduce. We cant do it asexually. I've been lurking here for a while and this is rarely brought up. You could have the perfect economy with a million financial benefits to having children. You could have perfect healthcare and give out free IVF to anyone. Mothers and children could be celebrated by all society. You could do everything else perfect, but it all relies on men and women actually getting together. This was easy enough in the 50s and 60s. People got married young, didn't divorce, and babies were made naturally. But the very nature of relationships has changed. Higher rates of singleness than ever before, more short term relationships than ever before, less marriage than ever before. This is unworkable. There is no stability in relationships and there are less relationships than ever before. People haven't changed, most people still want to eventually have children. But with who? I can't impregnate my right hand. I can't guarantee I'll still be with my girlfriend years from now. I can't grow my baby in a test tube or time travel to steal a 50s housewife. So how do we fix this? How do we get young people to socialize, get together, and stay together? Because without this I think we're somewhat doomed.
