snow storm?

We are supposed to get snow storm (IT NEVER SNOWS HERE BTW) tuesday night into wednesday- DB asks me if i have experience driving in snow i literally dont. i told him i was gonna talk to them ab that tmr and that i want to avoid snow/ icy roads as much as possible especially with my 35 min commute and crazy drivers in the interstate. also maybe i want to enjoy the snow day with my fiancé since we never even get snow haha. Dad said we’ll play it by ear but how to i give the direct message that I WILL NOT BE COMING if it’s snowy/icy period
