CGS MOD9 issues again
Bought a mod9. Running it exclusively on an Hk VP9L with a very nice RCM VP9L threaded barrel 13.5x1lh. I’ve never had any trouble with anything HK so there is that. I know there isn’t anything wrong with my pistol host or RCM threaded barrel. Let’s be real.
The mod9 had the INSANELY terrible accuracy issues the first time I ever shot the dang thing. Got on Reddit and realized I had front end cap rub/strikes and that sucks. In order to fix this, I read the manual, greased the hell out of the booster and tightened everything snug and ordered a brand new CGS MOD9 front end cap with no rubs (yet) plus I bought a griffin spring because I heard that helps.
Fast forward to today being the second time ever shooting with this suppressor and immediately I get end cap rubs again and some bullets hitting point of aim and some being way off target in the dirt at 10 yards. All shooting was at 9-10 yards and adjusting the POI was pointless, too- especially if the bullet is rubbing the end cap.
Just SUCKS. SO, i finally reached out to CGS customer service today and am awaiting an email response. I asked them if they would just bore out my 9mm end cap a little since THAT is the problem🤷. THAT IS THE PROBLEM. I also asked if they would simply send me a nautilus end cap in 45 caliber because EVERYONE says the nautilus end cap 100% fixes accuracy issues.
I’m hoping the solution isn’t just buying a 45 caliber nautilus end cap…if so..the Cgs mod9 is the worst suppressor purchase I’ve ever made.. I own 10 cans. I’m really hoping customer service throws me a bone here… they don’t list a phone number, just email support. I’ll give them a fair shot…but it seems they would have a better reputation if they just redesigned the dang 9mm front end cap just a little bit bigger! Right???🤷
Wondering what you guys with MOD9’s think. I’m quite confident a 45 caliber end cap will fix all issues with accuracy as the bullet won’t be rubbing against the inside of the front cap anymore!! Simple fix. But kinda sucks to dish out another $30 for an end cap in 45 cal when I intended to have a 9mm end cap and suppressor. 🤷 this is the only suppressor I’ve ever had accuracy issues with or any issues really and as stated, I own 10 suppressors.
Hoping CGS reads this. I just want to be proud of their product. 🫶
