Why wouldn't the Magic try and solve their offensive problems by swinging for Butler?
Add a FRP, and/or switch around the younger salaries for WCJ or Gary Harris - KCP is the bulk of the salary, and can be flipped by Miami if they prefer.
Let's assume a handshake deal keeps Butler in Orlando next year, for when Paolo/Franz return in full form. This year is just about building playoff experience with the bench and getting Butler acclimated to a new team.
I get that Orlando fans may feel they're winning just fine without Butler, but they seem like the Cavs a couple years ago: solidly playoff-bound, but in need of a superstar to propel into championship contention.
Salary-wise, they could keep Butler for just 2-3 years before having to pay Paolo and everyone else.
