Once Truex misses a race, Joey Logano will now become the "iron-man" of NASCAR aka most consecutive starts without missing any; the first born in the 1990s.
Logano has 576 consecutive starts going into this year's Daytona 500. Brad Keselowski is also on an impressive active streak, 540 going into 2025. Both drivers made their Cup debuts in 2008 however Logano went full time right away in 2009 whereas Brad had to wait an extra year (and switch teams) to do so starting in 2010. Nobody else is within even 150 consecutive starts of these two (that's more than 4 full seasons).
Martin Truex Jr does still technically have an active streak of 684, but this will be broken once he misses the first race after Daytona (or even missing the 500 altogether).
Logano's streak is historically pretty impressive as he is already 13th all time in that list. He "only" needs to run 7 more full seasons to beat Jeff Gordon's remarkable 797 race run which saw him not miss a single race in a 22 season full-time career.
These guys are single-handedly carrying the banner for the dark ages of "young guns" and rookie talent that existed from roughly 2008-2013
